I was introduced to Farmacy skincare roughly two years ago and I can honestly say this is a brand that I will be using for the rest of my life. I know that sounds like a broken promise but at this point in my life Farmacy seems like a positive aspect to add into my future. They have a really good array of skincare options and incredibly innovated ingredients as well. I’m 22 going on 23 so I don’t use all of their products, mostly because it targets advanced aging, but the products I do use absolutely kickass. Just for a little back story on the brand a farmer by the name Mark Veeder met the founder of Farmacy and they quickly decided that with the two of them working together they could create an innovated and clean skincare brand. Since Farmacy is created on an actual farm they have been able to give jobs top more local farmers and support the farming community as well. This post will be a smidge shorter than my other ones only because I haven’t tried everything in the line and I do not want to give you false opinions on the ones I haven’t tried. That’s not me I know what I’m about.
One of the main ingredients used in Farmacy’s products is the Echinacea Purpurea plant. This plant produces natural antioxidants and also can be used as an anti-inflammatory. It also helps to firm and protect the skin by inhibiting the enzymes that break down collagen. They also have a bee sanctuary on their farm as well to help pollinate the Echinacea. The bee’s pollinate the Echinacea and in return the honey they make also has the same ingredients in it as well. The farmers humanely harvest the honey from the bee’s to make products for their new Honey Echinacea line and then the process is repeated again. All of Farmacy’s products are made with naturally derived ingredients, never tested on animals, and free of parabens, formaldehydes, and artificial coloring.
One of the very first products I’ve tried from Farmacy was their sheet masks. Is anyone surprised by that? It was the Deep Hydration coconut gel mask infused with cucumber. You can buy a three pack for $24 which isn’t too bad but you can also buy them singly for $9. Their sheet masks are soaked in their concentrated blend and they make your face feel so freakin hydrated and plump I love it. This mask in particular can also take down any redness and if you are someone who is using topical acne products that are totally drying this mask is great to recharge your skin with. So far none of their products have ever broken me out which is great but like I said I haven’t tried all of their products so who the hell knows. Other than the hydrating mask they have a variety pack that you can buy and they also have other sheet masks dedicated to wrinkles, collagen, and other anti aging concerns.
The Honey Potion mask is another one I’ve tried and this mask is rapidly becoming one of their best sellers. Usually my skin is super sensitive to products that heat up naturally on their own but that doesn’t seem to be the case with this product. When you first apply it it definitely has that thick and sticky honey texture to it but once you warm it up it does turn into a cream. I will say since it does warm up naturally your face will have that warming sensation to it but it never makes your skin burn or feel uncomfortable. I will say this mask is definitely in my top 5 for favorite hydrating face masks. I like to single this product out over the areas where I get cystic acne because honey does act as a natural antiseptic. If you are concerned with fine lines and wrinkles this mask does help with that as well because it is still infused with the Echinacea. For my freelance friends this is a fool proof masks to use on clients before foundation because it will get rid of any dry texture and also give a luminous finish to the skin. It pretty much does all the work for you which is one of the better things life has to offer. What’s also good to know is that any honey products you buy from them goes towards saving the honey bee’s which I think is really freaking adorable.
Green Clean Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm is a product I’ve been using for a little bit now and you can stop rolling your eyes because I know that cleansing balms are a constant thing on my blog, get over it. Other than using it to remove makeup I love using it as a gentle cream cleanser in the mornings. The smell of it wakes me right up and leaves my face feeling comfortable but clean. My problem in the morning is that my face gets super oily during the night but if I use a more stripping cleaners in the morning it really shows and makes my foundation look god awful. I can’t win sometimes and I’ve accepted that. HOWEVER, since I switched to using this as my morning cleanser rather than taking my multiple layers off at night I’ve really enjoyed the results. It clears off all oils from my face that my skin doesn’t need and helps to balance it out. Also side note if you’re someone who likes to wear really bold long wear lipsticks this is a fantastic lipstick remover because it doesn’t cause the color to stain your lips any further. I’m looking at you Kat Von D…but I love your products so I can get over it.
That’s about it for me on the brand and I 100% plan todo more one brand skincare posts and more in depth info on their stories. If you have brands you would like me to review don’t hesitate to ask and as always feel free to start a conversation about skincare below.
